No matter how many laws are adopted but if the legislation does not work we will not have visa-free regime. This was announced 4 November 2015 on the air of "Newsone" channel by Oleh Osuhovskyy - MP of "Svoboda", a member of the Committee of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Prevention and Counteraction of Corruption.
"The members of "Svoboda" will analyse the draft laws on "visa-free package" and will offer their amendments. By the way, the anti-corruption committee has many comments and remarks to these documents. Of course, we all stand for adoption of necessary legislation but we want more - it's to ensure the effectiveness of these laws", - said Oleh Osuhovskyy.
According to him, no matter how many laws are adopted but if the legislation does not work we will not have visa-free regime. "We do not have a real combating corruption in our state, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau does not work yet, plus the absence of judicial reform. Against this background we have impoverishment of people. So how could we rely on visa-free regime?
The government has to make compromises, first of all - to accept the necessity to reduce utility payments. It is also necessary to reduce the rent for gas and to make obligatory to sell to the people domestic Ukrainian gas. These are the initial steps to be taken ", - said the MP.
